PARIS -- A collision between two trams in southwestern Paris late Monday has left 12 people wounded, including one in serious condition, local media reported Tuesday.

MAZAR-E-SHARIF, Afghanistan -- A total of seven militants were confirmed dead and three others sustained injuries after the security forces' fighting aircrafts pounded Taliban positions in Chamtal district of the northern Balkh province on Monday, an army spokesman in the northern region Mohammad Hanif Rezai said Tuesday.

DAMASCUS -- A total of 70 civilians were killed and wounded Tuesday by a U.S.-led airstrike in eastern Syria, state TV reported.
