Chinese embassy donates equipment to youth center in Tunisia

TUNIS, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Embassy in Tunisia on Wednesday donated cultural and sports equipment to El Menzah Culture and Sports Youth Center in Tunis, capital of Tunisia.
These cultural and sports equipment consisted of tables and rackets for table tennis, rackets for badminton, treadmills, exercise bikes and gym mats, which will help further improve the environment of the youth center.
The center, built with financial aid from China in the 1980s, officially opened to public in 1990. Covering a space of 5,200 square meters, it has a theater, a swimming pool, a dancing hall, a gymnasium, and an outdoor basketball yard.
Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Wang Wenbin said, as a symbol of friendship between the two countries, the center has been one of the most popular venues for young people in Tunisia.
On behalf of the Tunisia government, Tunisian Minister of Youth and Sports Sonia Ben Cheikh expressed gratitude for the donation of Chinese embassy, as well as the hope that the two sides will carry out more cooperation in the future. Enditem
