HONG KONG -- The population of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has increase by 0.9 percent to over 7.48 million as of the end of 2018, the HKSAR government's statistics department announced Tuesday.

According to statistics released by the Census and Statistics Department, the provisional estimate of the Hong Kong population was 7,482,500 at the end of 2018, representing an increase of 69,400 from the number at the end of 2017. (Hong Kong-Population)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday offered India cooperation in the probe into the recent deadly attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir that has heightened tension between the neighbors.

BANGKOK -- Front-line figures of Thai Raksa Chart Party have changed their mind to return to their electoral campaign trail to help candidates run for MP in individual constituency mode nationwide during the run-up to the March 24 election.

In a press conference at the party's headquarters on Tuesday morning, Chaturon Chaisang, head of the party's electoral strategy committee, said that those prominent Thai Raksa Chart members, mostly former MPs or cabinet ministers, have decided to resume their electoral campaign which has been called off since last week. NEW DELHI -- A pilot belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF) died, while another two were reportedly safe on Tuesday as two aircraft collided and crashed in India's southern city of Bengaluru during a practice sortie.

According to media reports, one pilot succumbed to his injuries after ejecting from one of the crashing aircraft.

Two "Surya Kiran" aircraft of the IAF collided mid-air and crashed immediately during a practice sortie near the Yelahanka airbase ahead of the Aero India Show, which will begin on Wednesday. (India-Aircraft-Crash)

JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- A total of nine militants were killed and few others injured after the government forces stormed Taliban hideouts in Khogiani district of the eastern Nangarhar province on Monday, said a statement of provincial government released here Tuesday.

The operation was launched on Monday night and lasted for a while during which a main base of the militants had also been destroyed, the statement added. (Afghanistan-Taliban) Enditem
