AMMAN, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Jordan said on Tuesday that it will highlight investment opportunities and reforms it has undertaken under the London Initiative in an international conference on Feb. 28.

The conference, co-hosted by British and Jordanian governments, is part of activities by the Kingdom to boost exports, attract investments, open new doors to create jobs and drive economic growth, Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs Jumana Ghunaimat said in a press conference.

The conference will be attended by 450 participants from 60 countries including private and public sector representatives, Arab and foreign investment funds, as well as international organizations.

Jordan's Minister of State for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh stressed that the conference will be about Jordan and for Jordan.

"This is not an economic event or one for investments only. It is not only about asking for aid, but is also meant to restore confidence in the Jordanian economy and to highlight the potential," Shehadeh said on Tuesday.

Jordan's capabilities in services sectors, tourism, medical tourism, energy and other arenas are among the fields that the country will highlight during the event. Enditem
