WASHINGTON -- The U.S. State Department confirmed Tuesday that U.S. Special Representative for Venezuela Elliott Abrams had met with Venezuela officials recently to ensure the security of U.S. personnel in the South American country.

CARACAS -- Venezuela's Minister of Culture Ernesto Villegas on Tuesday launched an international solidarity campaign with Venezuela in the country's capital Caracas, in response to intervention threats from the U.S. government.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he expected to see the ultimate denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula while pointing out that he had no pressing schedule for that objective.
