RIO DE JANEIRO -- The death toll from Brazil's tragic dam disaster in southeast Minas Gerais state has climbed to 171, and 139 people remain missing, the state civil defense agency said Wednesday.

According to the agency, among the missing are 34 employees of mining giant and dam owner Vale and 105 subcontracted workers or residents of the area close to the dam. (Brazil-Dam-Death Toll)

CARACAS -- Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez on Wednesday announced the government's decision to suspend aerial and maritime communications with the neighboring islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao.

"We have decided to make the decision to suspend all types of private and commercial flights and ship traffic to the islands of Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire," Rodriguez said. (Venezuela-Border-Closure)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday reiterated his threat to impose tariffs on cars imported from the European Union (EU) if a trade deal can't be reached between the two sides.

DHAKA -- At least 81 people have been killed Thursday after a devastating fire tore through a number of buildings in old part of Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.
