FRANKFURT, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 34.42 points, or 0.30 percent, to close at 11,457.70 points.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.35 percent. German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and manufacturing and electronics company Siemens rose by 1.82 percent and 1.48 percent respectively.
European health care company Fresenius SE lost the most among the blue chips, falling 2.75 percent. Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer and personal-care company Beiersdorf went down by 1.33 percent and 1.10 percent respectively.
Siemens was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 235.3 million euros (265.8 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
