RIYADH, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia has offered 1,839 artificial limbs to Yemenis since 2017, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported Sunday.
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, established by the leadership of Saudi Arabia, donated the limbs which were manufactured at a cost of about 2.24 million U.S. dollars, SPA said.
The Centre said the high risks of amputation in war-torn Yemen are blamed on the random planting of mines by the Houthi militia.
The Saudi-led coalition will enter in March Arabia its fourth year of a war in Yemen against Houthis in support of the exiled Yemeni government. Enditem
