FRANKFURT, March 1 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 86.04 points, or 0.75 percent, to close at 11,601.68 points.
German airlines Lufthansa won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.32 percent. Personal-care company Beiersdorf and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen rose by 2.21 percent and 2.17 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical firm Linde lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.34 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and housing association Vonovia went down by 1.21 percent and 0.09 percent respectively.
Chemical group BASF was the most-traded share with a turnover of 218.1 million euros (248.1 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
