PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and his wife Bun Rany on Tuesday attended an event marking the 108th anniversary of the March 8 International Women's Day.

Speaking to about 3,000 participants here, Hun Sen urged relevant ministries, authorities and non-governmental organizations to work together closely to eliminate violence against women and girls. (Cambodia-International Women's Day)

NEW DELHI -- India's tariffs are within its bound rates under the World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments, and the country is ready to discuss trade-related issues with the U.S., said an official communication issued by the country's Commerce and Industry Ministry on Tuesday.

It said that in a few instances, specific U.S. requests were "not found reasonable and doable" at this time by various concerned government departments, in the light of public welfare concerns reflective of India's developing country status and its national interest. (India-U.S.-Tariffs)

MUMBAI -- India has received the dreadful distinction of having seven of its cities in the list of top 10 most polluted cities in the world, according to data compiled in the IQAir AirVisual 2018 World Air Quality Report on Tuesday.

Gurugram, located southwest of India's capital New Delhi, holds the top position. The other Indian cities include Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Bhiwadi among the top five and Noida, Patna and Lucknow among the top 10. Faisalabad and Lahore from Pakistan and Hotan in southwest Xinjiang in western China are the three other cities in the top 10. (India-Pollution)

TOKYO -- The Tokyo District Court on Tuesday granted bail to former Nissan Motor Co. Chairman Carlos Ghosn, meaning the ex auto tycoon could be released for the first time since his arrest on Nov. 19 last year.

Ghosn's bail was set at 1 billion yen (9 million U.S. dollars) after a request was filed with the court on Thursday by Ghosn's new legal team. (Japan-Ghosn)

SEOUL -- South Korea's top nuclear envoy headed to Washington to consult with U.S. officials on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) affairs, South Korean Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

Noh Kyu-duk, the foreign ministry spokesman, told a press briefing that South Korea anticipated a rapid resumption of the DPRK-U.S. dialogue, saying the visit by Lee Do-hoon, special representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs, to Washington was part of the country's efforts for it.
