ABUJA -- At least 30 people were killed by gunmen who attacked a village in Nigeria's northwestern state of Zamfara, local police confirmed Tuesday.

A spokesman for the police in Zamfara, Mohammed Shehu, told Xinhua that the Kware village in Shinkafi district was raided for several hours early Monday. The gunmen opened fire on residents and burned their homes. (Nigeria-Attack-Death)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump responded to lawmakers that he fully agrees on keeping U.S. forces in Syria, U.S. media reported on Tuesday.

JERUSALEM/GAZA -- Israeli fighter jets struck on Tuesday night a Hamas military compound in Gaza after "explosive balloons" from the Palestinian enclave reached southern Israel, the Israeli army said.
