KABUL -- At least 14 fighters, including 10 Taliban militants and four security personnel, were killed following a fierce clash in Afghanistan's western Badghis province, an official said Monday.

The clash erupted Sunday night after the Taliban militants stormed security checkpoints in Bala Murghab district of the province, leaving four government troops dead and four others wounded, said Jamshid Shahabi, the provincial governor's spokesman. (Afghanistan-Taliban-Clash)

ADDIS ABABA -- Ethiopian Airlines has grounded its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet on Sunday after a crash of the same type that killed 157 people.

NEW YORK -- The reported presence of an active shooter inside the New York-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, the U.S. state of New York, has been confirmed as a false alarm, local law enforcement officials said Sunday night.

SHAH ALAM, Malaysia -- Malaysia released Siti Aisyah, an Indonesian woman, on Monday after prosecutors withdrew the murder charge against her for the death of a man from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) at a Malaysian airport in 2017.
