Ural Airlines plane makes emergency landing in Baku amid bomb threat

BAKU, March 11 (Xinhua) -- A passenger plane belonging to Russia's Ural Airlines made an emergency landing on Monday due to a possible bomb threat, the airport said in a statement.

The plane, en route from Bahrain to Moscow, landed at Azerbaijan's Heydar Aliyev International Airport after its captain suspected a bomb threat and decided to evacuate the passengers.

There were 225 people onboard, including crew members, the airport's authorities said.

The airport's emergency and rescue services were immediately put on high alert. Enditem
