FRANKFURT, March 11 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 85.64 points, or 0.75 percent, to close at 11,543.48 points.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard gained most among the blue chips, up 7.67 percent. Deutsche Bank and pharmaceutical company Merck rose by 4.96 percent and 2.18 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer lost the most among the blue chips, falling 1.57 percent. Personal-care company Beiersdorf and marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group went down by 1.30 percent and 0.53 percent respectively.
Wirecard was the most traded share with a turnover of 295.3 million euros (331.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
