MADRID, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares made gains of 0.47 percent on Monday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 climbing from 9,129.30 to 9,171.90 points.

A total of 23 of the 35 of the selected large companies saw their shares gain value in the day, while 11 made losses and one remained unchanged.

Monday's best performer was the Banco Sabadell, with a 1.98 percent rise in share values, followed by media company Mediaset with a 1.54 percent increase and infrastructure company Acciona which saw shares increase by 1.53 percent.

Pharmaceutical company Grifols suffered a 1.54 percent fall in share prices, while telecommunications firm Cellnex Telecom saw share values reduced by 1.26 percent and there was a 1.21 percent loss in shares for property company Inmobiliaria Colonial. Enditem
