BANGKOK -- The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index Tuesday moved up 0.16 points, or 0.01 percent to close at 1,627.59 points.

Some 12.35 billion shares worth 37.17 billion baht (about 1.18 billion U.S. dollars) changed hands.

MUMBAI -- Indian markets closed higher on Tuesday.
