ADDIS ABABA, March 13 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the visiting President Emmanuel Macron of France on Tuesday visited the Rock-Hewn churches of Lalibela, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Lalibela, Amhara regional state of Ethiopia.

It is to be recalled that Prime Minister Abiy secured a support pledge from the French Government in Oct 2018 that would go toward restoration of the churches. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- The House of Peoples' Representatives (HPR) has referred a draft bill of 33.9 billion birr additional budget for this Ethiopian fiscal year (2018/19) to the Revenue, Budget and Finance Standing Committee.

Some 33.7 billion birr of the supplementary budget is targeted to cover for the recurrent expenditures while the rest 240 million for capital expenditure. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

-- Ethiopia and France on Tuesday signed three cooperation agreements to strengthen their relations.
