HARARE, March 13 (Xinhua) -- The following are the highlights in major Zimbabwean media outlets on Wednesday.

-- South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday said his country will support Zimbabwe's economic growth and reform efforts and called on the West to remove all sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe immediately to allow unhindered recovery. (The Herald)

-- Presidents Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe and Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa on Tuesday agreed to accelerate implementation of agreements covering various sectors of the economy during the third session of the Zimbabwe-South African Bi-National Commission (BNC) held in Harare.

Ramaphosa arrived in Zimbabwe on Monday for the BNC summit. (The Herald)

-- Tropical Cyclone Idai, which is brewing in Mozambique, is expected to hit Zimbabwe over the weekend with strong winds and thunderstorms likely to leave a trail of destruction in Manicaland, Masvingo and Matabeleland, the Meteorological Service Department has said.

Reports say the cyclone, which will hit the coast of Mozambique on Thursday, will become a category three cyclone as it moves inland and would downgrade to category one. (NewsDay) Enditem
