FRANKFURT, March 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 48.24 points, or 0.42 percent, to close at 11,572.41 points.
Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.20 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer rose by 1.68 percent and 1.49 percent respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 6.57 percent. Sportswear and equipment maker Adidas and energy group E.ON went down by 2.38 percent and 2.10 percent respectively.
Adidas was the most-traded share with a turnover of 389.1 million euros (439.6 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
