TIRANA, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Albania decided to ban all flights of Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 737 Max 9 aircraft in the Albanian airspace, the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) said on Wednesday in a statement.

"Albania joins the decision of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), stopping the flight of Boeing 737-8 and 737-9 Max aircraft in the Albanian airspace," it said.

AAC informed Albanian citizens that no such planes operate at the International Airport "Mother Teresa", in any of the programmed flight lines.

According to the statement, the AAC prohibits the operation of such aircraft in the Albanian airspace and the International Airport "Mother Teresa" for an indefinite period of time. Enditem
