Dollar increases to mid-111 yen amid higher U.S. bond gains

TOKYO, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar increased to the mid-111 yen zone in Tokyo on Thursday as market players reacted positively to a rebound in the U.S. Treasury yields.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 111.59-60 yen compared with 111.10-20 yen in New York and 111.33-34 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. It moved between 111.14 yen and 111.63 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1323-1324 dollars and 126.36-40 yen against 1.1321-1331 dollars and 125.93-126.03 yen in New York and 1.1279-1280 dollars and 125.57-61 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. Enditem
