LONDON -- British MPs on Thursday voted to reject an amendment calling for a second Brexit referendum.

MPs voted by 85 to 334, a majority of 249, to turn down the amendment which calls for a delayed Brexit to allow new referendum. (Britain-Brexit)

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Senate on Thursday voted 59-41 in favor of blocking President Donald Trump's declaration of a national emergency at the southern border.

The move, coupled with a vote by the House of Representatives, dealt a blow to Trump's bid to build a border wall and is expected to force Trump to exercise veto powers for the first time since becoming president. (US-Congress-Border)

ADDIS ABABA -- Ethiopian Airlines said Thursday that both data and voice recorders extracted from the crashed Ethiopian aircraft that killed all 157 aboard on Sunday have been sent to France.
