MEXICO CITY, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Club Necaxa goalkeeper Hugo Gonzalez was added to Mexico's squad on Friday for friendlies against Chile and Paraguay in California.

The 28-year-old replaces Jonathan Orozco, who suffered a right hamstring tear while training with his club Santos Laguna, the Mexican football federation said in a statement.

Gonzalez has been capped twice for Mexico, having made his international debut in El Tri's 1-0 friendly defeat to the United States last September.

Mexico face Chile in San Diego on March 22 and Paraguay in Santa Clara four days later.

The fixtures will be El Tri's first under former Argentina and Barcelona head coach Gerardo Martino, who took charge of the team in January. Enditem
