PARIS -- French President Emmanuel Macron has vowed to take "strong decisions" to prevent weekly "Yellow Vest" protests from turning violent after rioters ran amok across Paris on Saturday.

MAIMANA, Afghanistan -- At least 13 Afghan security forces and 15 militants were killed following fresh clashes in the country's northern province of Faryab early Sunday, a military source said.

AMMAN -- Jordan on Sunday voiced its rejection of an Israeli court decision to close Bab al-Rahma (Gate of Mercy) prayer area, in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, in the Old City of East Jerusalem.
