Lebanon's tourism minister says to attract new visitors

BEIRUT, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian said Monday that his ministry is aimed to attract tourists from all over the world, in a statement released by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Beirut.

"We will launch a strategy next month with details on how the ministry will work on attracting tourists from Arab countries, Europe, Russia and China," Guidanian said during a press conference.

He also announced the ITM Beirut, an international exhibition for travel and tourism, which will take place in Lebanon from Feb. 19 to 21, 2020.

"The tourism ministry supports preparations for this exhibition which will attract tourists from all over the world to Lebanon," the minister said.

Meanwhile, Elie Rizk, president of the Lebanese Exhibitions and Conferences Association, said that ITM Beirut constitutes a platform that would highlight all services offered by the tourism sector in Lebanon. Enditem
