2 Jordanians injured in New Zealand attacks in critical conditions: ministry

AMMAN, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Two Jordanians who were injured last Friday in Christchurch terrorist attacks are in critical conditions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan said Monday.

Sufian Qudah, the ministry's spokesperson, said the number of injured Jordanians is five, of whom three are in stable conditions and two in critical medical conditions.

He added that the authorities in New Zealand provide due attention to the treatment of the injured.

The official added that a team from the ministry has headed to New Zealand to check the conditions of the injured and visit their families.

Friday's terror attacks have so far left 50 people killed and 50 others injured. The gunman, 28-year-old Australian Brenton Tarrant, was charged with murder. Enditem
