German shares gain 1.13 pct Tuesday

FRANKFURT, March 19 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 131.35 points, or 1.13 percent, to close at 11,788.41 points.

Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.54 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer rose by 3.44 percent and 2.45 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.45 percent. Energy group RWE and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel down by 0.75 percent and 0.16 percent respectively.

Daimler was the most-traded share with a turnover of 278.5 million euros (316.0 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
