JAKARTA -- The death toll from flash floods and landslides in Papua province of eastern Indonesia has exceeded 107 on Wednesday, while the search for 93 missing others is focusing on residential areas buried by mud, rubble and wooden logs, official and rescuers said.

Spokesman of joint command post for emergency relief efforts at the province Dodi Sambodo said that the natural disaster, which hit Jayapura district on the weekend, also left 84 people seriously injured and 75 others with minor injuries. (Indonesia-Disaster-Death)

SEOUL -- South Korea's unification ministry in charge of inter-Korean affairs said Wednesday that it was preparing to consult with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on the video reunions of Korean families separated by the 1950-53 Korean War.

Baik Tae-hyun, unification ministry's spokesman, told a routine press briefing that preparations were underway before consulting with the DPRK on the video reunions and the exchange of video messages among the separated families. (South Korea-DPRK-Family video reunion)

MACAO -- The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) launched its training program for civil servants from tourism offices of six Portuguese-speaking countries, each with a duration of two weeks in Macao, the MGTO said on Wednesday.

SEOUL -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Wednesday met with the visiting U.S. director of national intelligence to discuss the pending issues of the two countries, according to the presidential Blue House.
