TORONTO, March 25 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 Canada-China Business Development Roadshow will be held in six Chinese cities in 2019, beginning from June, according to the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) on Monday.

The roadshows, to be held in Wuhan, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Xi'an and Chengdu, are designed to connect Canadian businesses with potential channel partners and investors in cities where China's economic growth is being driven, according to the council.

On the roadshows, Canadian delegates will have an opportunity to meet with Chinese companies and investors to explore opportunities for distribution, collaboration, trade, and investment.

The CCBC will work with local Chinese governments and prominent industry associations to identify and secure pre-qualified Chinese investors and channel partners, according to the council.

Chinese companies will receive exclusive access to a number of investment and trade opportunities in Canada as well as information on the legal and financial steps required to successfully manage those arrangements.

In each of the six cities, a maximum of 10 Canadian companies looking to export their products and services to Chinese markets will be featured. There will also be industry breakout sessions for matchmaking opportunities.

The events are presented in partnership with the Canadian Embassy, regional Consulates General, trade offices, provincial representatives and Destination Canada in China.

Founded in 1978, the CCBC is a bilateral non-profit organization with six offices in both Canada and China. Its members include some of the largest and best-known Canadian and Chinese firms, as well as small to medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations, representing a wide range of sectors.
