PARIS -- Chinese President Xi Jinping, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker met here Tuesday and agreed to strengthen China-European Union (EU) relations and global governance cooperation.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. House of Representatives failed on Tuesday to override President Donald Trump's veto of a congressional resolution blocking his declaration of a national emergency at the nation's southern border with Mexico.

WASHINGTON -- A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 Max, on its way to be grounded, made an emergency landing at the Orlando International Airport (OIA) Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The plane took off from the airport in Orlando, U.S. state of Florida, shortly before 3 p.m., according to OIA spokeswoman Carolyn Fennell. (US-Boeing-Landing)

MOSCOW -- Russia is ready to make further efforts to enhance economic cooperation with the United States, which currently falls short of its potential, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.
