LUSAKA, March 29 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Friday.
-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu has warned that all political parties perpetuating violence during elections will be banned.
Lungu said he had the constitutional right to blacklist or ban violent political parties from taking part in elections. (Zambia Daily Mail)
-- The Zambian government has admitted that the country will this year start experiencing occasional power cuts due to expected power deficit.
Minister of Energy Mathew Nkhuwa said the country will experience a power deficit which will translate into a capacity fallout of about 130 megawatts. (Times of Zambia)
-- Zambia's investment agency has launched a training program aimed at equipping small and medium-sized enterprises to get prepared for the export market.
Zambia Development Agency director general Perry Mapani said the exporting readiness training program is also intended to assess the preparedness of entrepreneurs for the export market. (Daily Nation)
