YANGON -- A total of 15 people were killed and 25 others injured as a car plunged into a ravine in Myanmar's Bago region, an official from Oaktwin police station told Xinhua Sunday.

A six-wheeled truck carrying 40 people aboard Saturday crashed into a reflective road sign and fell into the nearby ravine on Paukkhaung-Oaktwin road at 06:30 p.m. local time. (Myanmar-Road accident)

GAZA -- Israel on Sunday reopened the border crossing points with the Gaza Strip after six days of their closure amid growing tensions with Hamas and other factions in the enclave.

JAKARTA -- Indonesia will immediately construct temporary shelters for victims of flash floods and landslides, which destroyed over 2,000 houses and killed 112 people in eastern Papua province, a senior disaster management official said Sunday.
