MINSK, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko confirmed his country's readiness to support the peace process in Ukraine.
If Belarus can do something for peace in Ukraine, Belarus is ready to do it, Lukashenko said on Monday while meeting with Martin Sajdik, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe's special envoy to a trilateral contact group on Ukraine.
Lukashenko added that he constantly monitors negotiations in Minsk.
Sajdik thanked Belarus for its support and assistance, expressing regret over the fact that the parties still could not resolve the conflict.
"We appreciate your patience and understanding," Sajdik said. "This conflict has been going on for too long." Enditem
