FRANKFURT, April 2 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 72.80 points, or 0.62 percent, to close at 11,754.79 points.
Automotive supplier Continental won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.31 percent. Automotive manufacturer BMW and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies rose by 2.22 percent and 1.85 percent respectively.
Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.99 percent. Deutsche Post and global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard went down by 1.46 percent and 1.41 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Daimler was the most-traded share with a turnover of 267.7 million euros (299.8 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
