LONDON, April 5 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.61 percent, or 44.93 points, to close at 7,446.87 points.
Prudential, a British multinational life insurance and financial services company, soared 2.69 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Rolls-Royce Holdings and NMC Health both increased by 2.52 percent.
Vodafone Group, a British multinational telecommunications conglomerate, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.16 percent.
