FRANKFURT, April 9 (Xinhua) -- German stocks fell on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 112.83 points, or 0.94 percent, to close at 11,850.57 points.
Multinational software corporation SAP lost 3.44 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by pharmaceutical company Merck and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel, which lost 2.63 percent and 2.62 percent respectively.
Personal-care company Beiersdorf gained 0.83 percent, becoming the top gainer. Energy group RWE and German insurance and financial services company Allianz advanced 0.51 percent and 0.12 percent respectively.
SAP was the most traded share with a turnover of 353.7 million euros (398.6 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
