LONDON, April 11 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.05 percent, or 3.96 points, to close at 7,417.95 points.
Easyjet, a low-cost British airline, soared 8.38 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Tui and International Consolidated Airlines Group increased by 8.27 percent and 5.90 percent, respectively.
Fresnillo, a Mexican-based precious metals mining company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 7.23 percent. Standard Life Aberdeen, an investment company, dropped 3.37 percent. Aviva, a British multinational insurance company, fell 3.12 percent. Enditem
