D. Streda strengthen second place in Slovakian premier league

BRATISLAVA, April 14 (Xinhua) - The visiting team of D. Streda FC crushed SFK Sered 5-0 in the fourth round of the playoff group of Slovak football premier league Fortuna Liga on Saturday, fortifying the second place.

Marko Divkovic laid the foundations of the triumph with goals in the 7th and 13th minute. The home team of Sered played without Tidiane Ba since the 36th minute who was sent off the field after receiving a red card. Zsolt Kalmar, Erick Davis, and Luka Cmelik added one goal each to strengthen the second place of Dunajska Streda in the playoff group.

Only one goal decided the clash between MFK Ruzomberok and MFK Zemplin Michalovce. Stefan Gerec, the striker of the home team, put one past Matus Kira in the 76th minute.

Slovan Bratislava, the leaders of the league, can become champions on Sunday with six round left to play. The team from the capital city of Slovakia needs to win the match in Zilina.

Trnava, the leaders of the Fortuna Liga relegation group, brought home only one point from 4th-placed Podbrezova after a goalless draw.

The last-placed team of Senica registered a clear 4-1 win against Nitra in their fight against relegation. Da Graca Kay opened the score, Asmah added another in the first half. El Moudane and Castaneda got the better of the visitors' goalie Branislav Pindroch in the second half. Nitra's Tomas Vestenicky scored a consoling goal shortly after getting on the pitch in the 54th minute.

A last-minute goal by Trencin's substitute Ante Rogulic decided the duel against Zlate Moravce, pushing Trencin up one spot to the third place of the relegation group. Enditem
