RAMALLAH, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The newly formed Palestinian government of Prime Minister Mohammad Ishtaye on Sunday repeated its swearing-in before President Mahmoud Abbas.
The repetition came after it was found that the text of the swearing-in of the new government Saturday evening had a typing error.
The oath that the 24 ministers read out loud before Abbas was found to be incomplete and missing the term related to the "protection of the people and its national heritage."
Ishtaye's government is the 18th Palestinian government that is formed after the Palestinian Authority (PA) was established in 1995.
The new government consists of 24 ministers from the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), mainly Abbas' Fatah Party, the Palestinian People's Party, the FIDA party, the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front, in addition to independent figures.
Both Islamic Hamas movement and Islamic Jihad are excluded from the new government. Enditem
