FRANKFURT, April 15 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 20.35 points, or 0.17 percent, to close at 12,020.28 points.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard gained the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.13 percent. Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and German airlines Lufthansa rose by 1.82 percent and 1.66 percent respectively.
Material manufacturer Covestro lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 4.19 percent. Housing association Vonovia and marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group went down by 1.65 percent and 1.44 percent respectively.
Chemical group BASF was the most-traded share with a turnover of 183.6 million euros (207.4 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
