AMMAN, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Jordan said on Saturday that it will participate in a meeting on the Palestinian issue at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo on Sunday.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi will take part in the ministerial meeting called for by Palestine, said a statement of the foreign ministry.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will attend the Arab meeting in the Egyptian capital.

Jordan's participation highlights the country's unwavering position that the Palestinian issue is one of its top priorities, the statement said.

Jordan will also highlight its rejection of all aggression against the holy sites in Jerusalem and all attempts to alter the identity of the city, it added. Enditem
