HOUSTON, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Collaboration between Chinese and West African businesses is a "win-win situation," a expert said here Monday.

China is on the right track to enter the West African market, and it's a good thing, said Posso Ganame, president of the newly launched Texas West African Chamber of Commerce (TWACC), a non-governmental organization.

At the TWACC launching event, Ganame told Xinhua that "significant development of business relationship" between West African countries and China is seen recently, while traditionally, West African countries have been doing business with their European partners.

"Europe has been in Africa for a long time, and China is trying to make room over there," said Ganame, stressing the importance of competition in business.

He added that if China can bring electricity across West Africa, he will "be their voice to support them."

In his speech at the event of his business group, Ganame said the TWACC is more focused on energy, hoping to find a solution to reduce the electricity rate.

"The electricity cost in Burkina Faso is six times (more) expensive than here in Texas," he said. Enditem
