Myanmar condemns attacks in Sri Lanka

YANGON, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar condemned on Thursday the barbaric acts of terrorism in Sri Lanka, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry.

Myanmar president and the state counselor had sent messages of condolences to the president and the prime minister of Sri Lanka on the tragic loss of hundreds of lives and many injuries caused by the terrorist coordinated bombings in Sri Lanka on Sunday.

The ministry reaffirmed Myanmar's commitment to combating terrorism in all forms and manifestations.

A string of explosions rocked churches and high-end hotels in or around the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo on Easter Sunday, killing 359 people and wounding 500 others. Enditem
