ADDIS ABABA, April 28 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Sunday.
-- Former Ethiopian President Negaso Gidada has passed away at the age of 76.
Negasso died while being treated in Germany. He was President from 1995 until 2001, and he also served as Minister of Information in the Transitional Government of Ethiopia. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)
-- Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has discussed the design and development plan of the 'Beautifying Sheger' riverside project proposed by a Chinese institute.
The "Beautifying Sheger" project is a three-year initiative of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed aiming to change the face of Addis Ababa, and he discussed the plan with the engineers during his visit to the China Urban Construction Design and Research Institute. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)
