PHNOM PENH -- Chinese technology giant Huawei and Telecom Cambodia on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 5G cooperation in Cambodia, according to a press release from Huawei Technologies (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Huawei's Vice President Li Jin'ge witnessed the signing ceremony, which was held in Beijing. (Cambodia-Huawei-5G)

KABUL -- More than 36 people including four civilians have lost their lives in fighting between security forces and the Taliban fighters in conflict-plagued Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, officials said Sunday.

The government forces in a latest crackdown on militants stormed Taliban hideouts in Maroof and Shorabak districts of the southern Kandahar province early on Sunday killing 16 insurgents, provincial police spokesman Jamal Nasir Barekzai said. (Afghanistan-Fightings)

JAKARTA -- A total of 12 people were killed, eight others went missing and almost 15,000 people took shelters as floods and landslides hit the Indonesian capital of Jakarta and Bengkulu province in western parts of the country, disaster official said on Sunday.

Ten out of the total casualty number and all the missing persons were in the province which has been stricken by floods and landslides since Friday after torrential rains poured down, spokesman of national disaster management agency Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said. (Indonesia-Flood-Landslide)

NEW DELHI -- At least 10 people were killed and 26 others injured, some of them critically, after a bus carrying them fell into a 200-feet gorge in northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, police said Sunday.

The accident took place Saturday night near Panchpulla village in Chamba district, about 327 km northwest of Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. (India-Road accident)

ISLAMABAD -- At least three security personnel were killed and two others injured in a bomb blast in Pakistan's northwest district of North Waziristan, local media reported Saturday night.

According to local Urdu TV channel ARY News, the explosion hit a check-post located in Raghzai area of Tehsil Shewa in North Waziristan, a district of the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan. (Pakistan-Bomb) Enditem
