FRANKFURT, May 2 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 1.34 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 12,345.42 points.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.76 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and housing association Vonovia rose by 3.68 percent and 1.69 percent respectively.
Reinsurance company Munich Re lost the most among the blue chips, falling 4.53 percent. Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard and material manufacturer Covestro went down by 2.66 percent and 1.99 percent respectively.
Bayer was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 394.0 million euros (441.2 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
