PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan -- At least 16 people were killed and 57 others injured in Taliban attack on a provincial police station in Pul-e-Khumri, capital of Afghanistan's northern province of Baghlan, on Sunday, sources said.

Those killed included five police officers, four civilians and seven assailants and those among the injured were more than 30 police officers, according to local sources.(Afghanistan-Taliban-Attack)

NEW DELHI -- Death toll of Cyclone Fani has risen to 33 in Indian eastern state of Odisha, local media reported Sunday.

BANGKOK -- Thailand's His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn on Sunday took a grandiose, magnificent procession to pay homage to former kings on a route lined with thousands of yellow-shirted people in Bangkok's olden quarters as part of the three-day coronation ceremonies.

Also known as King Rama X, the 66-year-old monarch, adorned with a gilted Great Crown of Victory hat and a gilted royal dress, took the 403-meter-long procession on Sunday afternoon from the Grand Palace to three royal temples on the 6.7-km route in Rattanakosin Island area.
