PARIS, May 6 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 1.18 percent, or 65.32 points, to close at 5,483.52 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 34 lost in the day.
French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMicroelectronics lost 4.93 percent, the top loser among the blue chips. French multinational automotive supplier Valeo went down by 4.00 percent and French multinational luxury goods conglomerate LVMH lost 3.00 percent.
French digital transformation leader Atos advanced 1.35 percent. French-based international ophthalmic optics company EssilorLuxottica rose 0.75 percent and European software company Dassault Systems rose 0.59 percent. Enditem
