FRANKFURT, May 7 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 194.14 points, or 1.58 percent, to close at 12,092.74 points.
Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel lost the most among the blue chips, down by 5.24 percent, followed by global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard and chemical group BASF, which lost 4.19 percent and 3.70 percent respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard, housing association Vonovia and energy group RWE were the top three winners, rising 5.49 percent, 5.23 percent and 1.95 percent respectively.
BASF was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 313.6 million euros (348.0 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
