MADRID, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares edged down on Wednesday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 0.09 percent, to close at 9,227.00 points.

Wednesday's worst performing company was cellulose and collagen manufacturer Viscofan, which suffered losses of 8.84 percent in share prices. Celulose and energy producer ENCE also suffered important losses, with 4.63 percent knocked off shares, while shares in infrastructure company Ferrovial went down by 3.53 percent.

The day's best results were obtained by industrial corporation CIE Automotive, with a rise of 6.64 percent rise in share prices. Shares in telecommunications company Cellnex Telecom went up by 4.32 percent, while shares in holiday company Amadeus rose by 3.49 percent. Enditem
